Introduction to EFT: Emotional Freedom Techniques Seminar
Introduction to EFT: Emotional Freedom Techniques
EFT, short for Emotional Freedom Techniques Born in 1991 by the American engineer Gary Craig , having been studying with Dr Roger Callahan . The latter had developed the TFT (Thought Field Therapy)-which in turn derived from applied kinesiology, which is located through muscle testing acupuncture points appropriate to try and unlock the emotion on which we work.
Gary Craig had the idea of \u200b\u200bselecting a basic set of points and treat all always, a "redundant" as he defines it, whatever the emotion, thus avoiding the need to locate the points. It worked excellently.
Despite its short history EFT is already having a great acceptance among psychologists, psychiatrists and other therapists around the world, especially in the U.S. and UK, as seen in its website, which is also a real base data on cases reported by practitioners around the world in the most diverse topics.
EFT is a method to eliminate the emotional distress extremely effective in practice and yet so simple that virtually anyone can learn to use in your everyday life.
The method is as simple as a series of stimulating acupuncture points by tapping fingers-something called "tapping" - while remaining mentally focused on the specific issue to address.
This procedure repeated for a few minutes and with a bit of expertise on the observation of changes in our emotional state, is listed as one of the most effective psychological methods that are known today, producing results quickly even where many other therapies they were not achieved.
What is it used?
As we say EFT is generally useful to eliminate all forms of emotional distress, but given the known impact that emotions have on our bodies and our lives, and also we are balancing the body's energy system through tapping, EFT is usually very effective in things like
- Emotional pain / post-traumatic stress
- Fears / Phobias / Panic / Anxiety / Insecurity
- Anger / Guilt / Resentment / Frustration
- Stress / Compulsion / Addiction, Apathy / Depression
- Headache / physical pain general /
Allergies - Treatment of psychosomatic component of disease.
- Enhancing learning / professional performance / sports performance
- Improving the life energy in general, in the sense of control in our lives and the effectiveness of working with creative thinking.
- As a tool for introspection and meditation
"I can have adverse reactions?
In the vast majority of cases, EFT can be very helpful and does not cause unwanted reactions. However, as a method of self-help and emotional introspection is in the process we may find ourselves temporarily with no pleasant aspects of our personality, but always provide an opportunity for integration and free its load, each person must take responsibility for themselves, know their own limits if you are working alone and if you are under some form of psychiatric treatment or simply have questions, it's smart to check the suitability of a professional EFT qualified.
