What Would Veneers Look Like On Me

Video Techniques "nontraditional" Aikido Course

Within the technical repertoire of Aikido there are many techniques that have come through the Masters, but surely there is a percentage of them do not know. The following video shows several techniques that usually do not usually see or do, but they exist and that may be interested or, at least, can expand our view of Aikido.

As you can see, some of them used as a defense Tori Kubi shime (chokes) that normally attack usually Uke. Sankyo variants also appear, attack on the fingers (Yubi dori), Sayu nage (or Kokyu ho), and Irimi Atemi Direct nage.

How Much Daylight Have We Gained Since Dec 2010

Teamwork: Using Metrics

One of the basic parameters for a team's success is its philosophy. In this the director can influence, but like everything that is done in teams, we need the contribution of each member.

A good way to start the day is giving thanks for what we have. We are really fortunate to be working about as we like, and be surrounded by a fantastic group of professionals who can learn continuously.

The question I ask myself every day is:

How I can help to improve this site?

That is a process that never ends. Always looking to improve. In this sense, we detected a series of parameters that contribute to improving the work environment, and therefore the results obtained. Namely:

Confidence: this is not something that is given, this is something that is earned day by day thanks to the accountability and professionalism demonstrated. If any team member who does not enjoy the confidence of others, the team has a weakness.

personal triumph: I hope everyone will succeed, because success of each person, is in the good of the group. We need people with hunger and desire to improve, but without losing sight of the success of the group is above the individual.

Honesty Transparency Policy total. Everyone is aware of what is charged for each project, the hours are budgeted for, and what money is in arrears. It's about being honest with yourself, and companion.

Recognition and reward: We have to thank and celebrate individual achievement, because they add to the collective objectives.

Respect: There are some professionals who deserve respect, but all people should be respected as such, but do not deserve to be respected as professionals. Therefore the staff must be respected above all. The forms are important. The bad ways are you losing your mind immediately. There is nothing you can say with courtesy and respect.

Communication: You have to be open to criticism. It is the only way to improve, and be aware of our shortcomings. Not only talk about our lives at work, but our personal lives. Open to others is a good exercise that affects the good atmosphere. I know what my colleagues are interested, do they care (family, hobbies, goals ...). Obviously, respect those who do not want to open your life to the rest (we return to the previous paragraph: respect.) My challenge here is to listen more and talk less.

Dialogue: We do not impose our views to assert our rank or position. Care about the arguments here.

Flexibility: As stated previously, we have "confidence." The trust responsibility and professionalism of other colleagues, we can be flexible. We are people, not a working number.

If you want to go deeper into this philosophy, Ubuntu can read the book by Stephen Lundin and Bob Nelson. It is a fable about African philosophy of teamwork based on the concept of brotherhood, and is fully in line with our philosophy.

Behind Ear Pain When I Drink Alcohol

Ubuntu Philosophy v3 a bit more agile

To follow this post, it might be interesting to read the others before:
- v3 vs Agile Metrics
- Scrum for Dummies

I am aware that it is more beneficial not to have to make such adjustments, and work directly with agile methodologies, but sometimes we are forced to do so by customer requirements to work with other heavier type of approach (especially if public administration), and we are not going to give up a way of working (internally, in this case) that has brought us great benefits.

In this post I will provide the focus we give to these projects in the Software Engineering Division of Soltel .

I will focus on the adaptation performed under analysis, and its subsequent use in the various stages of development. The purists will say that what we do is Scrum, as neither have high customer involvement, we can not teach "product" from the first iteration. I agree, so in this case, call it Scrum.

Document Analysis in Metric v3 is the ASI (Analysis Reporting System). I think it is best to start targeting the activities and artifacts that have our ASI:
Catalog Requirements: Functional Requirements

Information Requirements and Restrictions
Business Rules Nonfunctional Requirements

use case catalog:
Use Case Model

Use Case Specification

Analysis Class Model

Traceability Matrices

Requests

change
As noted, all these components are going to generate a lot of work, so we need to optimize to reuse everything we can. Begin by the Functional Requirements.

What if we wrote the functional requirements like user stories? Metric is not prescriptive about this, which ultimately leads to a problem of granularity. Our functional requirements shape our Product Backlog. So when you finish the analysis phase, we estimate the sprints, and start using Scrum.

other hand, it is worth investing time in the reporting requirements. If we describe it, we will automatically Analysis Class Model.

the end, each team must find ways of working which will contribute most, if not we can put the sign with the name of the methodology of fashion. To us this little adaptation has served us.

And you, how do Metrica v3 agile?

Buy Cazal 856 Replicas

.
Today I'll show you another way to see the blog by what is called "dynamic view." To this end, only have to add the following web address: "/ view", ie

http://irimi-tenkan.blogspot.com / view

And why? Well, to navigate the blog through different views. If you write in the address bar http://irimi-tenkan.blogspot.com / view , you page will appear like this:

As you can see, on the left side of the blog entries appear, type RSS reader. This style view mode "sidebar". There are a total in 5 styles or different ways of displaying the blog. To change, you must click on the button located at the top right:

I will
the 5 possible views for the seleccionéis:

For example, view "Flipcard"

And another question is also interesting is that the button next to where we choose the view that we like more, there is a box where we write our searches any post published in the blog. In short, if you have RSS readers can add to the URL of the blog view that you like so that whenever you go in, to judge with one of the 5 styles attract you most. I put the 5 options:

- http://irimi-tenkan.blogspot.com/view/ flipcard
- http://irimi-tenkan.blogspot.com/view/ mosaic
- http://irimi-tenkan.blogspot.com/view/ sidebar
- http://irimi-tenkan.blogspot.com/view/ snapshot
- http://irimi-tenkan.blogspot.com/view/ Timeslide

I hope you find it useful.

Build your own dojo (3 rd and final part) Reporting

Well, today we will finish our dojo, do you think? Well, you remember the previous post , had prepared the ground plates of copopren perfectly placed on the floor and a mirror that gave us a feeling of spaciousness:

But, as mentioned, the copopren no slippage and that is not good for our practice. What can we do to fix it? Let's see ... occurs to us to put a tarp or something. And where will these things? Let's ask an upholsterer, who surely knows.

Indeed! After asking one, says that generally used for the canvas mat is also put on the trucks. Go! always learn something new. After teaching us the type of Canvas, we verify that it is. All we have to say is the size and color of it. In our case, we needed to cover 30 m2 , but we must always take as a little higher (on all four sides) to be secured properly to the floor or wall concerned. And we chose the color blue. By the way, VERY IMPORTANT : we must tell the upholsterer to put rings for the 4 sides of the canvas. Then you will see why.

Once notified, we went to pick her up perfectly dobladita gave us and charged us € 215 . Now it is put on the plates of copopren:

Well, let's go spreading it around the space:

and viewed from another angle:

Until everything is covered:

Va
looking good, eh? But ... Those wrinkles! As we have to get a board ... Will be no. This is where the rings become important I told you before. What we do is pass a cord (sold in hardware stores) through the rings sides of the canvas and we can tighten it until the wrinkles disappear.

This requires that previously drilled in the ground (or if you it is better on the wall) where we will put eyebolts several holes through which pass the cord and, thus, we support points to effectively tighten the canvas. In the picture you can see what I mean:

Although the picture quality is not well appreciated, set both the cord passes through the rings of the canvas as the lugs which are the ground. The opposite side of the canvas, not pictured, also has rings, and they've been drilled to the ground screws so that side is completely embedded in the ground, unable to moving. Thus, by pulling the cord from the other end we see in the picture, the canvas is stretched. See how it looks:

This looks great already, right? Ah! I forgot. The other side of the canvas (the one next to the mirror and the one next to the shoes pictured) we have stuck to the floor with silicone, there were no loose as well. In the picture you can see the remains of silica in the soil. This then can be covered with a wooden slatted ate (like door frames), but we do not have photos (sorry).

In principle, we can practice Aikido perfectly, right? because it can slide smoothly on the mat and have a mirror to look at our movement. Yeah, but I do not know, seems a little cold, do not you think? We will add a touch more ... atmosphere. How can we improve the appearance to be more like a dojo? The wood usually look good in these cases, so why not line the walls with wood? Yes! That's right! Nothing, we'll buy.

We are approaching a DIY store and ask for more planks of wood (such tablet, 0.5 cm thick) to cover our walls. Her measurements: 2.10 m high x 1 m wide). In our case, we bought a total of 10 boards, of which 8 were dark brown ("wenge") and 2 white, for not giving it so dark the future dojo. But that is a taste of the consumer ...

And how much cost these boards? its price was 16 € / unit , so the total of the 10 planks = € 160. After loading all, we held the "van" and heading to the dojo, wishing them. So, upon arrival, we got down to work! First side:

And then the other:

was how to install with simple screws, we chose black because there were better. Drilled and all the boards on the wall, using each, 4 or 5 screws on the board's longest and 2 or 3 in the narrowest part. Once in place, we gave him a hand cleaning:

's it. Oh no! Remained the most important: the picture of O Sensei:

At last we're done! What what is left? For yourselves what you will say. Here it is completely dojo Photo finished:

What do you think? Not bad, right? Well, you know, with a little bit of money you can assemble your own dojo. Below we summarize the economic costs, approximately, to build a dojo of 30 m2:

- 30 copopren plates of 2 cm in thickness and density of 200 kg/m3 =
€ 550 - 2 mirrors 2m high x 2m each = € 240
- 40 m2 (approx) canvas =
€ 215 - 10 planks of wood (tablet type) of 0.5 cm thick and 2.10 m high x 1 m wide =
€ 160 - 2 strips of wood, 3 m each one (to cover imperfections) = € 30

Petty And several that I will not (eye bolts, rope, silicone pot ...).

Total investment : about € 1,200

I hope you enjoyed it and, above all, you find it helpful.

PD: I want to thank Pepe that I have passed the final picture of the dojo, because I had no (it bounces!).

Bonita Open Solution, my BPM Software Ecosystem

In the Software Engineering Division of SOLTEL we are finalizing the paperwork to make us partners Bonita Open Solution. As you can imagine this kind of strategic decisions are not taken lightly, and are the result of a thorough analysis of the various solutions BPM (Business Process Management) is in the market.

Since our stack is based on opensource technologies, from the outset discard business models as Tibco (Staffware), Savvion, Lombardi,
Pegasystems, Appian, Global 260, or those of major manufacturers such as Oracle or IBM. We also find some "false" Open Source as Intalio, Active Enpoints, Shark.

On the other hand, it was worth a simple framework we type ODE, OpenWFE. Bonita is not a framework, is a complete solution :

Bonita Studio: design and develop processes. We can draw the business and the web layer. It is based on Eclipse. Bonita

User Experience: is the web-deploy and see the processes developed with Bonita Studio. It is divided into two independent parts, processes and forms a generic portal is User Experience account Inbox. Is a central access point for users to execute their tasks and processes.

Engine: where processes are executed. Bonita Execution Engine. 100% Java and is supported by the database to run the process.

One of the fundamental virtues of Bonita is save on development costs, and therefore affects the final price of the project.

Its graphical interface is very intuitive, and we can model and orchestrate business processes and high level of efficient and agile. Users of Eclipse will be familiar, because the Designer component is based on this IDE. In fact recently won the award for best modeling tool based on Eclipse .

other hand is not negligible the possibility that offers us to transactions, role-based authentication application life cycle.

Another advantage is undoubtedly the J2EE architecture that allows such use cluster solution.

course meets the standard BPMN (this is important, because during our analysis we discard other products that promised a lot, and jBPM, but with a level of compliance with standards very low, today, in this sense).

But like a good Open Source product, its main virtue is their community, active and participatory, and has developed multiple connectors that enable integration with many tools, and facilitate the interoperability of systems, ie, helps us to complete the puzzle that is a project based on the integration of mature pieces of Free Software. How could it be otherwise, we have already made our small contribution to the Community with this connector.

Since we have finished our first serious project with Bonita, and that during the last two weeks we have received the training Soft Bonita official, we are in a superb setting for, in short, to contribute more to the Community Connector.

In this video we can sense the power that has the tool:

I want to finish the words of my friend Olivier Delcroix : "Now you know why it is called Bonita. Because it is the sexiest BPM solution on the market." ;-)

What Happened To Denise Milani ?

Yasunari Kitaura Valencia 2011.

.

A video of the always excellent Yasunari Kitaura Shihan (Aikikai 8th dan for those from outside Spain, not may know) and think it through facebook group dedicated to his person, and that I recommend in a previous post. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do every time I discover on the Internet a video of this master. In this case the recording corresponds to a course in Valencia in the same 2011, with great image quality, and a curious sepia tone, which in my humble opinion, give an added touch of sobriety.

Build your own dojo (2 ª part)

Vamos a continuar con la construcción de nuestro dojo, que dejamos a medias en this post. If you recall, we finished putting all copopren plates, but could not slide well or do simple fluids because such plates are not at all slippery. Sure, are not designed for this!

Moreover, to have done, was not very aesthetically say and, of course, for that matter, because we like to make it more or less curious, do not you think ? Then let's go, then.

Let's see where we were:

Ah, yes! But I do not know, gives a feeling a bit claustrophobic ... A ver qué podemos hacer... ¡Pues claro!

This is taking shape! It seems unbelievable what a mirror, right? And all this, how big is and how much? For he who put us is 4 meters long and 2 meters high and, in fact, there are 2 mirrors 2 m x 2 m . We handle a glazier and his price was 240 euros , installation included.

Well! Since we have less. It solved the issue claustrophobic and a part of aesthetics. But most importantly we need to practice comfortably. What what? As the slide! If we can not move freely and smoothly on the mat, we can not perform the techniques correctly and we will be clumsy and slow. So, let's see what solution we give. Clearly, you have to put ... No way, not what you say to the next and final article in this collection. Stay tuned!

Aikido camera very slow

Of all the videos of Aikido I've seen, I never found any recorded and edited as I show below. Techniques are not that be spectacular or impressive. What is special is that, besides having good image quality, are reproduced at a speed very slow. Therefore, it seems they are doing Aikido in the moon or under water. The truth is that I've been watching a little "dumbfounded."

are five short videos in which appear the following techniques:

Attack: Mae geri. Defense : iriminage
